Senior Industrial Automation Engineer
About the role
We are looking for an experienced Industrial Automation Engineer to lead system migration and new installation projects for our manufacturing customers. You will own the technical solution from concept design to site commissioning and hand-over.
This role reports to the Industrial Automation Manager and works closely with our project management office, procurement team and the customer's maintenance department.
Key responsibilities
- Design, program and commission PLC, DCS, HMI and SCADA systems (Schneider, Siemens, Mitsubishi, ABB).
- Lead legacy system migration projects with minimal production downtime.
- Prepare engineering documents: functional design specification, I/O list, cause and effect matrix, test procedure.
- Perform factory acceptance test (FAT) and site acceptance test (SAT) with customers.
- Supervise junior engineers and technicians during installation and commissioning.
- Provide technical support and troubleshooting for preventive maintenance contracts.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Instrumentation, Mechatronics or Control Engineering.
- At least 7 years of hands-on experience in industrial automation and process control.
- Strong programming skills on at least two PLC platforms (Modicon, S7, MELSEC, AC500).
- Experience with SCADA software (AVEVA InTouch, Wonderware, WinCC, EcoStruxure).
- Good command of English (reading technical documents is mandatory).
- Able to travel to customer sites up-country and work on shutdown schedules.
